Healthy Living Guidelines

  • Follow the 5,2,1,0 plan!    On the road to healthy living!
  • Limit "sugar drinks" to a maximum of 8 ounces per day (including pop, iced tea, lemonade, juice, gatorade, sports drinks, etc)
  • Decrease milk fat to "skim"
  • One "treat/dessert" item per day
  • Five fruits or vegetables per day
  • Use whole grain breads and high fiber cereals
  • Get your body moving - aim for 1 hour of vigorous physical exercise per   day.   It does not have to all be at the same time. 
  • Limit screen time (TV, video games, computer) to 2 hours or less per day
  • Regularly eat family meals together
  • Limit fast food, take-out and eating out
  • Eat breakfast daily
